The annual Winefest in St. Goar is held the third weekend in September.  We HAD to attend!!  Before heading to the festival, we toured the ruins of Castle Rheinsfel just above St. Goar.  The crowing touch of the day was watching the fireworks, Rhein in Flames.  They shot the fireworks from the Cat castle, Rheinfel, a castle slightly downstream, and in the river right in front of our hotel.  We watched the entire display from our 3rd floor hotel window.  My fireworks pics are not great, but I hope you get the idea.
