Castle Road to St. Goar

We took the Castle Road toward our next stop.  Since we hardly scratched the surface on the Romantic Road, we decided to pick a couple of stops to maximize our "viewing pleasure".  Our first stop was Schwabisch Hall where we saw the Town Hall and St. Michael's Church.  Next was Neuenstein where we were able to see the outside of a castle only.  It is still occupied.  We tried to see a Pieta statue at Neckarsulm but sadly the church was under restoration and was  closed to the public.  We did have lunch there on a cool plaza and Wayne found some wonderful pretzels at a bakery (yes, I will weigh 10,000 pounds by the time we get back!!)  Our last castle stop was Heidelberg.  After a hair raising trip up the mountain, we again found the castle under restoration so we did not go in.  So on to St. Goar!  It is a tiny city on the Rhine.  We can see the river flowing from our hotel window!  The food here is great and the people are friendly.  We may come home-and then again-we may not!!!(Just kidding!!)
