Cape Perpetua

We saw some of the prettiest scenery on the Oregon Coast today.   We passed the sites we saw yesterday and continued south on Hwy 101 to the Cape Perpetua National Park.  We stopped at Seal Rock, Devil's Churn, tidal pools and Spouting Horn, Seal Cave, and Heceta Lighthouse.  There are several pics here and this is a small percentage of the shots I took today.  We actually missed sunset today, but I'm sure we'll make up for lost time tomorrow!

Lincoln City-Day 2

Today we went south down Hwy 101(the Pacific Coast Highway) to Boiler Bay, Depoe Bay, and  Yaquina Lighthouse.  The waves are unbelievable.  We went to the top of the lighthouse which was fun.  We also watched sunset from the house again.  What fun!!!

Lincoln City, OR

We are on the West Coast with some of our best buds celebrating a huge milestone.  Jan and Fred Shipman, Kathy and Ken King, and Wayne all turn 65 this year!  We've rented a wonderful house on the beach in Lincoln City.  The views are spectacular!  We were greeted yesterday with a breathtaking sunset.  Here are a few shots from yesterday.

Eagle Watching 2012

We went to Alton, IL for eagle watching with the Harpers.  At first we did not have much luck.  We were having lunch at the Grafton Winery and Wayne spotted two eagles fly over the river and land in a tree not too far away.  We grabbed the camera and got these shots.  Most are cropped.
